Lyon France European Solidarity Corps Concordia Rhône-Alpes, as coordinating organization, proposes an ESC volunteering project for 8 months (January 2021-August 2021) in the hosting organization called the Maison des Européens Lyon / Centre d’Information Europe Direct Lyon (House of Europe / Europe Direct Information Centre Lyon). The Maison des Européens Lyon is a non-profit-making organization located in the city of Lyon, which belongs to the French Federation of Houses of Europe (37 Houses of Europe in France) and has a Europe Direct label, designated by the European Commission: (49 Europe Direct Information Centres in France). The volunteer will be asked to support the Maison des Européens Lyon staff, to raise awareness among the different audiences mostly on the European citizenship topics but also on the general European issues.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
The accommodation of the volunteer will be in a flatsharing residence in Oullins “So Coloc”, 20 minutes away by metro from the Plateforme. Nearby the residence there are public transports and all kind of conveniences. The volunteer will share this flat with up to 7 young people (french and/or Erasmus students, ESC volunteers). In the flat, there is a shared living room and a shared kitchen all equipped as well as two bathrooms. Wi-Fi will also be available. Concordia will provide every month to the volunteer food money (7,50€ per day) + pocket money (6,00 € per day). Transport card is included

PARTICIPANT PROFILE
• Adaptation, sense of organisation and anticipation; • To be communicative and easy to approach to different audiences; • Have a good knowledge of French or to have the basics of the language but to be really motivated to learn French; • Motivation for the European topics; • Availability for a 12 months project starting in September 2022
