Comunità Progetto Sud (CPS) Association is selecting 1 new volunteer for a short-term volunteer opportunity (2 months) in the local community of Lamezia Terme (Southern Italy). The volunteer is engaged in the center called “Luna Rossa” which hosts and takes care of unaccompanied foreign minors. The volunteer will be involved in all day-to-day activities at the center and in close contact with the minors received. For this reason, he or she must be an open-minded person, willing to be confrontational, sunny, and ready to put himself or herself out there. The volunteer also participates in all cultural and social activities that CPS promotes for all employees and volunteers and will be also involved in events organized by other organizations in the city.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteer is involved in activities 5 days per week, with a maximum of 35 working hours. She or He lives together with another European volunteer, in a small house in Lamezia Terme, 2 km away from the nice city center. The flat is very comfortable, with all the necessary facilities, including a small garden (https://maps.app.goo.gl/FzizqCkt8Rr4o2KGA). Volunteers live in a single room and must share common spaces, such as a bathroom and kitchen. The volunteer will receive a 5€/day pocket money and a food pocket to manage and buy food. During activities, they could have lunch with employees.
Training during the activity
Welcome training, Youthpass Training Cycle, Mid Term Evaluation, and final evaluation, run by Scuola del Sociale Department– Comunità Progetto Sud. On-Arrival Training is run by the Italian National Agency.
