Germany Karlsruhe ESC European Solidarity Corps Dear volunteers, we offer at the moment 6 ESC opportunities of one year, starting in September and October 2023. ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
You will be accommodated in a big house with other 6 international ESC volunteers or in an apartment in the city centre with 2 more volunteers. The accomodation costs are covered by the project. You will receive approx. 150 € pocket money and approx. 270 € for food every month. You will also have a card to travel for free in the whole region with public transports during the whole project: this allows you to sightsee all the surroundings and enjoy your free time without limits.
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
You will take part to two seminars of 5 and 7 days each: these consist in trainings organized by the National Agency, and allow you to meet other ESC volunteers in germany, share your experiences, learn and talk about the main concepts of the European Solidarity Corps. The meetings take place in different cities in Germany. You also have the possibility to attend a course to become a youth leader, a language training, a first aid course, a climbing course and a life guard course. all of these offers allow you to work with kids and youngsters during your voluntary service and in the future.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
• At least 18 years old • Interest in pedagogique work • Interest in working with children in the age of 0-6 • Good knowledge of English (understanding, speaking, writing, reading), basic skills in German would be helpful but aren’t obligatory • You have an accredited sending organization (PIC number, accreditation number, name and contacts) • Open to get to know Germany and German culture and interested to live in another country for a year.
