Spain 1 Week Erasmus+ Training Course Disconnect to Reconnect: Self-knowledge and Spiritual growth within Youth Work

1. What is this seminar about?

It’s a learning and connection experience focused on providing essential self-knowledge and spiritual growth tools and techniques for those dedicated to supporting young people.
The main goal is to foster a deep connection with one’s authentic self, free from societal masks and external influences.
It aims to cultivate inner peace and holistic well-being (encompassing health, work, and relationships).
Greater self-awareness enables a clearer understanding of personal goals and inherent capacities, leading to more effective and genuine engagement with young people and a more active role in society.
2. When and where will it take place?
Dates: June 1st to 7th, 2025. Location: Inturjoven hostel in Cortes de la Frontera, Spain.
3. Who can participate?
The seminar will unite 24 participants from across Europe. Candidate profile:
- +18 years old.
- Related to youth work (volunteers, counselors, youth workers, facilitators, youth leaders, free time instructors, therapists, teachers…).
- Free spirits wishing to explore their inner self, feel grounded, empowered, and embraced by nature.
- Individuals looking for silence, peace, and digital disconnection (no Wi-Fi at the venue), valuing the connection with nature, others and themselves.
- Previous experience in mindfulness, yoga, or other self-care or self-awareness techniques is advisable, but not a must.
4. What will happen during the seminar?
Methodologies: Various methodologies will be explored through practical workshops, peer to peer learning, non-formal education, debates…
Central pillar: The Amaranta Method and connection with nature.
Knowledge sharing: New insights and practices on self-knowledge brought by participants are warmly welcomed (some of the following are envisaged: yoga, chikung, therapeutic art expression, voice work, healing music, therapeutic use of dance and theatre, kinesiology, or shamanism).
Group work and discussions: Focusing on the current needs of young people and how to better support them using the learned tools, grounded in personal well-being and spiritual growth.
Evening activities and intercultural learning:
- Folk dance, music and popular games from each represented country.
- Reflections on the countries and world situation.
- Exploring ancestral wisdom through Viking runes and oracle cards.
- Cocoa ceremony around the bonfire.
Free time: hiking trails, swimming pool, board games, time for introspection…
Coordinator & facilitator: Diana Kulikowski
European project technician, certified trainer and therapist of the Amaranta Method, facilitating mindfulness, stress management and different personal growth techniques to young people, youth workers, elderly and people from different backgrounds. She has recently run the coordination of the Training Courses: `Stress? No thanks. Youth workers in balance, ready for youth challenges´and `Take Care: Implementing self-care in the youth sector.

Accommodation and food
Accommodation and lodging: Provided by Gantalcalá from June 1st dinner (picnic before taking the bus) until June 7th breakfast. Double/triple cottages with private bathroom, mixed nationalities, (for an optimal development of the seminar, coming as a couple it´s not an option).
Extra stay: If you wish to stay in Spain some extra days (up to 2 days before and 2 days after), accommodation and food will have to be arranged appart and at your own expense.
Travel reimbursement
Travel cost reimbursement: Will be processed approximately one month after the seminar ends, upon receipt of the Reimbursement Form and original/digital boarding passes and tickets.
Arrival point: Málaga airport.
Maximum reimbursement amount: According to the Erasmus+ Distance Calculator:
10 – 99 km: 56 EUR (ecological transport) / 28 EUR (not ecological transport)
100 – 499 km: 285 EUR (ecological transport) / 211 EUR (not ecological transport)
500 – 1 999 km: 309 EUR (not ecological transport)
2 000 – 2 999 km: 395 EUR (not ecological transport)
Transport arranged by Gantalcalá:
To make it easier, Gantalcalá will rent a bus for the whole group from Málaga city center to the hostel and from the hostel to Málaga airport (approx. 2.5 hours each way).
Bus departure from Malaga city center: June 1st, 20:00 CET.
Bus departure from hostel to the airport: June 7th, 6:00 CET.
Important: Ensure your arrival time at Málaga airport on the 1st is before 19:00, and your departure time on the 7th is after 9:30.
To cover the bus transfer Málaga- Cortes and Cortes- Málaga airport, €42 per person will be deducted from your travel budget, please be aware of this when arranging your travel.
