Spain 1 Year ESC European Solidarity Corps Days: 4 days a week, working 8 hours a day. Main activities: 1- Experience as primate keeper: the participant will learn the main management and welfare activities for the group of primates that we house, such as: cleaning of facilities, creation and administration of diets, environmental enrichment activities. 2- Support in the Research department: the participant will learn how to collect behavioural data of our groups of primates. At the same time, you can be part of a study that is being carried out, as well as an assistant or reinforcement in administrative tasks of the department. 3- Maintenance tasks: gardening, painting, construction…etc. 4- Support in the Communication department: the volunteer will help with administrative tasks, dissemination on networks and other communication tasks. 5-Learning Spanish (for foreign participants): through the platform provided by the European Commission OLS
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
The travel budget is limited for each participant, depending on the kilometric band. The Grant will cover roundtrip tickets at the beginning and end of the Voluntary Activity. Pocket money Pocket money is determined by the European commission. In the case of volunteers in Spain, each participant receives 150 euros per month Diets and local transport:The participant receives 190 euros per month for food and transportation expenses to the workplace. Accommodation is provided by MONA, at that time we rent 2 apartments in Girona city with single rooms for ESC Volunteers.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE
-You must like animals and be fascinated by primates -Languages: medium-high level of English -High Motivation -That you like to work in a team but at the same time be able to work autonomously -Ability to communicate and fluent language. -Keep in mind that working with primates is physically hard. -Ability to deal with adverse weather, very hot summers, very cold winters and many insects!! -Physically and mentally healthy person -Have no problem working weekends and holidays. – Committed and serious person with work.
