Spain Plasenzuela ESC Call for ESC long term volunteers in Spain, in a permaculture project! We are looking for 2 volunteers who are interested in permaculture, sustainable lifestyle, environment and its preservation. Project duration: 4 months, starting in August, 2022. Project activities include: – organic garden and food forest maintenance in accordance with permaculture principles – homemade food crafts – maintenance of an olive grove – care of farm animals – construction activities based on bio-construction criteria – other environmental activities. ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

The association IMORA will provide accommodation for the volunteers in a small dwelling shepherd’s house or in independent room in rural hostel, which can be shared. The house has a bedroom, its own bathroom with shower, is fully furnished and has everything needed to ensure an adequate accommodation (kitchen utensils, towels, blankets, etc.).There is an Internet connection, with WiFi access in the main building. There is no need for local transport during the project, activities are develloped in the same place.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

The host entity offers necessary preparation for the performance of all tasks to prevent risks that the activities may cause. As the team of the association is international, the period of adaptation in intercultural environment is facilitated by offering linguistic support through language workshops included in the calendar of activities. Monitoring and preparation of volunteers by tutors or responsible for the activities will be offered. Volunteers recieve formation in arrival meeting organized by National Agency.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

Between 18 and 30 years old. Two volunteers who are interested and willing to participate in the carrying out of different activities in the rural environment. People with motivation and initiative, regardless of the experience, gender or socio-economic situation of the person, with the eagerness to learn, and giving them a space not only to develop the current agroecological projects, but also to create their own microprojects. It is essential for the volunteer to have a passion for nature and interest in the development of a sustainable rural environment. Able to live with other people.
